Jan Otto Porsmyr the Senior Project Coordinator of Institute for Energy Technology (IFE). Jan Porsmyr has over 25 years in the nuclear sector, he has specialized in nuclear safety, security, and safety culture, shifting focus to waste management and decommissioning since 2012. He has hands-on experience with VVER and RBMK reactors and leads IFE’s projects under the Norwegian Government’s Action Plan for Nuclear Safety and Security in Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia. His role includes collaboration with nuclear safety authorities in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Ukraine, and Russia. Actively involved with IAEA, NEA, and Norway’s DECOM Cluster, he’s driving digital transformation and international knowledge sharing in nuclear decommissioning. He will share insights on advanced digital twin technology from the nuclear sector and its applications in oil and gas.
