The Business Development Intern plays a crucial role in supporting the business development team in identifying and pursuing growth opportunities for the company. This internship position provides valuable exposure to various aspects of business development, including market research, lead generation, relationship building, and proposal preparation. The intern will work closely with the team to assist in expanding the company’s customer base and achieving revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research to identify potential target markets, industry trends, and competitors.
  • Gather data and insights to help the team make informed decisions regarding business strategies and opportunities.
  • Assist in generating leads through various channels, including online research, social media, and networking events.
  • Maintain a database of prospective clients and track interactions for follow-up.
  • Support the team in establishing and maintaining relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and networking events to gain exposure to the business development process.
  • Assist in creating compelling proposals, presentations, and marketing materials for potential clients.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure proposals are customized to meet client needs.
  • Aid in the development of sales strategies and tactics to achieve business development objectives.
  • Assist with tracking sales progress, identifying potential roadblocks, and suggesting solutions.
  • Analyze business development data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to update the team on progress and outcomes.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to support integrated business growth efforts.

The Person
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in business development, sales, and market analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in conducting research and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn and contribute to the company’s growth.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.
