At the Oil and Gas Digital Twin Conference 2024, James—an automation veteran with 35+ years of experience and winner of the 2023 ISA Excellence in Technical Achievement Award—will serve up a unique and thought-provoking session titled: “The Digital Twin. It’s Not Just for Breakfast Anymore.” 

In his talk, James draws an engaging analogy: if the entire lifecycle of a plant were compressed into one day, engineering and construction would be “breakfast”—the foundational meal that sets the tone for everything that follows. Just as a poor breakfast can derail the rest of your day, a poor start in your digital strategy can lead to inefficient operations and costly transformations down the line. 

James will argue that a robust Digital Twin strategy from the start—built with existing tools and resources—can prevent the pain of future digital transformations.
