ABOUT THE SESSION
Alfredo Rodríguez, E&P Digital Program Sr. Manager at Repsol, brought over two decades of experience in the energy sector to the Oil & Gas Digital Transformation Conference 2022. In his session, he shared a comprehensive overview of Repsol’s digital journey in Exploration & Production (E&P) from 2018 to 2022. Alfredo highlighted three core takeaways. First, the digital transformation began with ambitious expectations, but the reality of implementation often diverged from initial plans. Second, the journey provided valuable lessons—through both challenges and achievements—that now guide strategic direction. Third, looking ahead to 2023-2025, the focus is increasingly on data-centric innovation, with tools such as analytics, machine learning, and predictive maintenance becoming key to optimizing operations. His presentation offered a grounded perspective on how digital initiatives are evolving to meet the complex demands of the E&P sector.
