ABOUT THE SESSION
Ayed A. Al-Ruwaili graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (Dhahran) in 1997 and joined Saudi Aramco shortly thereafter as a Communications Engineer. Over the past two decades, he has led numerous IT infrastructure and digital communication initiatives supporting Saudi Aramco’s global energy operations. His expertise spans network systems, industrial connectivity, and digital transformation in oil & gas, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of critical field and pipeline communications.
Currently serving as Head of Communication Operations and Maintenance, Ayed oversees IT services vital to field operations and business continuity. He holds an MBA from Hull University (UK), where his thesis explored IT outsourcing strategies in oil companies, combining technical acumen with strategic leadership. With two U.S. patents to his name, Ayed continues to drive innovation, applying emerging technologies to strengthen energy infrastructure, smart field systems, and operational excellence across the oil and gas industry.
