Matt Ogden will share his views on the emerging importance of private cellular networks. Private cellular networks are revolutionizing IoT, user connectivity, safety, and asset monitoring. Technologies like drones and robo-dogs equipped with various sensors enhance these capabilities, providing secure coverage with fewer radios compared to traditional wireless access points. Companies are increasingly adopting private 5G networks, and during his tenure at MPC, Matt’s team initiated a pilot program at two refineries, which has since expanded to all 16 MPC refineries, demonstrating significant benefits and securing industry-wide adoption. Additionally, public 5G offerings like C-band and Ultrawideband are being utilized for redundant WAN connectivity and primary roles in well-covered areas
