Johannes Springer is the Director General of the 5G Automotive Association (5GAA) and oversees the 5G Automotive Program at Deutsche Telekom. He holds a doctorate in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Berlin Technical University and has held leadership roles at RWTH Aachen University and Deutsche Telekom. From 2004 to 2010, he was CTO/COO at Toll Collect, and from 2011 to 2016, he was VP of Technology and Solution Design at T-Systems’ Connected Car unit. He will share his views on “Connected and Automated Driving – The Value of 5G”.
Johannes Springer will share his views on achieving ubiquitous coverage, including integrating Non-Terrestrial Networks in 5G, as mission-critical connected car services grow in importance. He will discuss organizing quality of service in 5G networks through the global standardization of Network APIs and Network Slicing to ensure QoS. Additionally, he will highlight other relevant 5G features, such as low latency services, positioning, and other essential elements for transportation.
