Shreya Hegde Sr Product Manager Tech, Amazon

Shreya Hegde is a Senior Product Manager - Tech at Amazon RME, where she collaborates closely with AWS, Work Health & Safety, and People Experience teams to build scalable digital solutions for large industrial environments. Beginning her career as a software developer, Shreya transitioned into product management driven by her passion for developing enterprise-grade technology products. With over 17 years of experience, she has successfully launched and managed technical solutions across industries including aviation, healthcare startups, revenue cycle management organizations, and U.S. government programs. Beyond her professional work, Shreya is a strong advocate for women in technology and serves as a Circle Leader for the Lean In nonprofit community in Austin.

In this session, Shreya explores how digital twins are emerging as a critical safety backbone for modern industrial operations, particularly in reliability and maintenance environments. Drawing from real-world implementations within large-scale operations, she demonstrates how spatial intelligence, asset context, and operational data can be integrated to create a unified digital environment that connects people, processes, and technology. By embedding safety directly into operational workflowssuch as maintenance planning, lockout/tagout procedures, condition-based monitoring, and technician decision-making—digital twins enable organizations to proactively identify risks, prevent incidents, and strengthen system integrity. The session highlights how this integrated approach improves asset lifecycle visibility and enables closed-loop feedback between frontline teams and leadership, helping organizations scale safety and operational excellence.
